DUNS Number

DUNS Number
A nine-digit numbering system which uniquely identifies an individual business. This number can be used to access a database which details the name of the company, its address, telephone number, line of business and number of employees - along with other pertinent information about the specific company.

DUNS, which stands for data universal numbering system, identifies nearly 100 million business around the world. This includes major corporations, small business owners, partnerships, and non-profit organizations. The identification system was created by Dun & Bradstreet.
